Supply Conditions:
1. Wire Rod in Coil: 5.5-20.0 mm (naked packing or in plastic paper)
2. Semi-finished Wire: 1.0-10.0 mm (in coil or cut length in box)
3. Welding wire/Finished wire: 0.8-5.0 mm (in spool or in box)
Introduce: ER16-8-2 is used for joining similar alloys such as 16-8-2, 316, and 347. It is used extensively for joining type 3XX and type 3XXH materials.
ER16-8-2 can be used for GMAW, GTAW, and SAW welding. It provides good ductility at elevated temperatures.
ER16-8-2 weld metal can be used in the as welded or solution annealed condition.
Typical service temperatures up to ~800°C. also has useful properties down to -196°C.
